Fault code and symptom explanations on this site are general. Every vehicle is different. A diagnosis on the vehicle is the only reliable way to identify a fault.

Legal information

Our notes on the MOT and the law are general information, not legal advice. Using a vehicle with a modified emissions system on a UK public road is a separate legal issue under the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations. Passing an MOT does not make a vehicle lawful.

Software work

We diagnose and repair first. We do not describe any emissions software change as road legal. Any software change that disables AdBlue or SCR monitoring is supplied for off-road, competition or export use only. The customer declares any modifications, including to their insurer. We do not sell AdBlue, DPF or EGR deletes for road use.

Remapping

We do not remap a vehicle with a live fault. AdBlue, DPF or EGR faults are diagnosed and repaired first.

AdBlue™ is a registered trademark of the Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA). We use it descriptively to refer to diesel exhaust fluid and the systems that use it. Bolt Remaps is not affiliated with the trademark owner.
