AdBlue tank replacement price

Parts prices shown below. Labour charges are quoted on approach after diagnosis (POA). Fixed total price given before any work starts. No fix no fee on the agreed outcome.

  • AdBlue tank (parts): £795 Complete tank assembly. Parts only.
  • Diagnosis to confirm the tank has failed: From £249 Heater resistance, pump pressure and sender readings checked before a tank is ordered.
  • Fitting labour: POA Quoted after diagnosis. Depends on the vehicle and what has to come off for access.

When an AdBlue tank needs replacing

A tank is rarely just a tank. On many vans and cars it is a sealed unit that holds the parts that fail.

  • Built-in heater failed

Codes such as P20BA or P20B9. If the heater cannot be bought on its own, the whole tank is replaced.

  • Integrated pump lost pressure

P20E8 with a confirmed low pressure test, on vehicles where the pump sits inside the tank.

  • Level sender or quality sensor faulty

Wrong level readings or P207F that persists after fresh certified fluid.

  • Physical damage or leaks

Cracks, impact damage or a leaking seam.

How we avoid an unnecessary tank

A new tank is one of the bigger AdBlue bills, so we prove it is needed. We measure heater resistance, test pump pressure and check the wiring and connectors first. A corroded plug can produce the same codes as a failed heater, and costs far less to fix.

If the tank is the answer, you get the free quote: £795 for the part plus labour for your vehicle, as one fixed total before any work starts.

Vehicles we fit AdBlue tanks to

Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Relay are the most common tank jobs we see, along with Ford Transit and Transit Custom, VW, Audi, Skoda, BMW and Mercedes cars.
